AIR LIQUIDE SOBEGI  

1954 Set up of AIR LIQUIDE in DAHOMEY covering Dahomey, Togo and Niger.

1973 Creation of “ SOXADA”, the Dahomey Oxygen and Acetylene Company with a capital of 54 000 000 FCFA held 100% by the AIR LIQUIDE Group.

1976 The extraordinary general meeting held on February 20 decided on a change of the company’s name. The Dahomey Oxygen and Acetylene Company became Société Béninoise de Gaz Industriels « SOBEGI » (Benin Industrial GasCompany).

1982 The capital of the company was increased from 54 000 000 to 74 000 000 FCFA, still 100% owned by the AIR LIQUIDE Group.

In 2005, the company acquired a 1x10 bottle SKID (latest refilling equipment) recommended for Best Manufacturing Practices ( BMP ) for therapeutic oxygen making it possible to offer customers a quality product.

The company has 22 members of staff.
